Job Description of AWS Solution Architect
As an AWS Solution Architect, you will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, develop cloud strategies, and create architectural blueprints that align with best practices.
An experienced AWS Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). As an AWS Solution Architect, you will work closely with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, develop cloud strategies, and create architectural blueprints that align with best practices. Your expertise in AWS services, cloud computing, and system design will play a critical role in driving digital transformation and optimizing cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable cloud architectures using AWS services.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and business teams to define cloud strategies.
- Optimize cloud costs while ensuring performance and security.
- Lead cloud migration projects, including lift-and-shift and modernization strategies.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using AWS CloudFormation or Terraform.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues using AWS CloudWatch and X-Ray.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud architecture, with a strong focus on AWS.
- Certifications – AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional) preferred.
- Technical Skills – Expertise in AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda), networking, security, and cloud computing principles.
- Programming & Scripting – Experience with Python, Java, or scripting languages.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Hands-on experience with Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
- Security & Compliance – Strong understanding of IAM, encryption, and cloud governance.
- DevOps & CI/CD – Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Soft Skills – Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
