Job Description of Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Accountant to manage tax planning, compliance, and reporting for our organization. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in direct and indirect taxation, GST, income tax, and corporate tax laws. This role is critical in ensuring accurate tax filings, minimizing tax liabilities, and staying compliant with Indian financial regulations.

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for preparing tax returns, conducting tax audits, and providing strategic tax-saving solutions. The role requires proficiency in tax software, financial reporting, and handling tax assessments. Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file GST returns, TDS, income tax, and corporate tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with Indian tax laws, financial regulations, and statutory guidelines.
• Conduct tax audits, identify discrepancies, and implement corrective measures.
• Assist in tax planning and advisory to optimize tax savings.
• Stay updated with latest amendments in tax laws, GST regulations, and government policies.
• Handle liaison with tax authorities, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
• Support the finance team in budgeting, financial forecasting, and tax risk management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CA or CMA preferred).
• 2-6 years of experience in tax accounting, GST compliance, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Tally, SAP, QuickBooks, and tax filing software.
• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, corporate taxation, and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
